Inside this review
Small hotel facilities with some useful extras
The hotel’s published facilities include a mini gym, a rooftop terrace, a breakfast restaurant and a lobby area with tea, coffee and snacks. It also lists bicycles and a foosball table. These are useful additions to time spent between outings, but a terrace should not be assumed to be a swimming pool, nor a compact gym to offer the range of a large fitness club.
The address places the hotel within the Bunsiri Road old-city area. Wat Suthat, Wat Ratchanatdaram and the Golden Mount form a geographically sensible focus for a central old-city programme. The Grand Palace–Wat Phra Kaew complex and Wat Pho belong to a separate riverside-side cluster. This is not a hotel on the river’s edge, even though many temple itineraries based here will eventually reach the Chao Phraya.
Recent guests give a more balanced room picture
An August 2026 Trip.com guest reported a mattress cleanliness problem that staff resolved by changing the room, followed by a more positive overall stay and breakfast experience. Another August guest found the bed comfortable but criticised weak Wi-Fi. These are specific experiences, rather than evidence that every bedroom has either problem. They do make room condition and connectivity more useful comparison points than a broad claim of a recent new look.
An April 2026 guest liked the location near Chao Pho Suea but reported water spreading across the bathroom after showering. A separate August account praised the staff while finding the surrounding streets uncomfortable at night. The latter is a personal reaction to the area, not a general safety assessment. Travellers sensitive to busy or unfamiliar streets should evaluate the actual approach as part of their neighbourhood choice.
Where it fits in a temple itinerary
Siri Oriental is an option for guests who want an old-city base with conventional private bathrooms and more bedding variety than some tiny riverside hotels. The three-single room may be especially relevant to friends sharing, while the bath category gives couples a different reason to choose it. Those room distinctions are better supported than treating every category as a single uniform boutique experience.
Wat Arun and Wat Kalayanamit require a west-bank outing, and Wat Paknam is farther into Thonburi. Those journeys should be planned independently rather than described as a walk to all ten temples from the hotel. The most coherent stay combines the central old-city streets with a separate riverside day, returning to a room chosen for its actual beds, bathroom and floor rather than the property’s previous name.
