Inside this review
The family room is a particular bed arrangement
Accor’s official property page lists a Family Room with a double bed and a bunk bed, alongside standard and river-view accommodation. That is a concrete reason to consider the hotel for adults travelling with children. It does not mean the standard double can accommodate the same party or that every room includes the bunks shown in a family-room photograph.
A family should compare the exact booked category with the ages and sleeping arrangements of the children. A bunk is a different proposition from two full-sized adult beds or a separate bedroom. The hotel’s riverside address also does not mean every standard room has a river outlook; the named river-view category exists for a reason.
The pool and outdoor setting are the draw
Accor presents the riverfront setting and pool as part of the property’s appeal. A confirmed guest, Chearnpohn H., posting in July 2026, described a relaxing river view, clean room and welcoming staff, especially the restaurant team. That account supports the setting and service for that stay.
An Expedia family review dated 30 September 2026 similarly liked the pool and described the room as large for their stay. The room category was not securely identified in the available review text. Their judgement should therefore not be attached to every standard room or used as a measured comparison with a suite in another hotel.
Different expectations of service
A confirmed business guest on Accor’s page in August 2026 said they had not expected self-service in a hotel. The short comment does not identify which service was expected, and it does not establish the hotel’s housekeeping policy.
There is a useful counterpoint from Irene R. U., posting on 29 July 2026 after travelling with two cats: she liked the quick check-in and helpful staff and said housekeeping arranged to clean her room first. These are different individual stays, not competing statements of an official rule. They favour establishing the actual arrangements rather than assuming either attentive service or unavoidable neglect.
A pet stay has a specific condition
Accor explicitly welcomes pets and lists a maximum weight of ten kilograms. Its Bangkok pet-friendly collection also identifies ibis Riverside as an option with outdoor parking and river views. Travellers with an animal have a concrete reason to consider the property, while checking the applicable charges and any restrictions on shared areas.
Irene’s account supplies a real example of a guest staying with cats. It does not establish that animals can enter the pool or every dining space. Pet permission and access to shared leisure areas are separate matters, particularly in a hotel also used by families.
A riverside base still involves onward travel
The hotel is a west-bank riverside choice for sightseeing, rather than a temple-front address. Wat Arun, Wat Kalayanamit and Wat Paknam are separate destinations; being on the same broad side of the river does not establish an easy direct walk between them and the hotel. That distinction matters when choosing between leisure time here and a short stay concentrated on the old-city sites.
ibis Riverside is most convincing for travellers who will actually use the outdoor setting and who understand the room format they are booking. For a family, the double-and-bunk arrangement is a stronger reason to consider it than an unspecified claim of spaciousness. For a couple, the decision is whether the river-view upgrade and pool contribute enough to the stay to outweigh an onward journey to the temple districts.
