Inside this review
Families have alternatives to squeezing into a double
The official Family Suite page describes 65 square metres with two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two singles, plus a sitting area. That arrangement provides separation which a triple room cannot reproduce. It is particularly relevant to parents who want children in the same accommodation while retaining two sleeping spaces.
Grand China also lists Family Club Suites for larger parties. Its six-person version combines king bedding, bunk beds and singles within a 65-square-metre category. Those beds have different implications from six separate singles or three enclosed bedrooms. A group should choose according to its actual sleeping arrangement; the word suite alone does not explain the privacy available.
What balcony guests liked, and what they qualified
Yvonne W’s April 2026 Tripadvisor account describes a clean balcony room, a comfortable bed and an especially appealing view. She also liked the breakfast and having Chinatown outside the door. Val’s review, published in April 2026 about an August 2025 stay, similarly valued the balcony and restaurants but described the room as a little dated. The publication date should not be confused with the stay date.
A November 2025 guest in a Triple Junior Suite River View Balcony liked the room space for three and the view, while finding the pool small and poorly suited to sunbathing. These accounts put the emphasis on bedroom outlook and Chinatown access. They offer less support for choosing Grand China primarily as a pool resort, even though the property lists swimming facilities.
Dining above Yaowarat and exploring at street level
The property’s own site identifies restaurants and bars including Sky View 360 and GenZ Bar. Their presence gives a group options for gathering without every meal taking place in the room or on the street. Opening arrangements and event reservations still belong to the individual venue; a room booking should not be assumed to include a meal or a particular table.
The hotel is at 215 Yaowarat Road. That is a Chinatown base for Wat Traimit and the streets around Talat Noi, with separate journeys needed for the temple grounds farther north and west. It is a good fit for travellers who actively want Yaowarat outside and a raised outlook upstairs. Guests prioritising a broad sunbathing area or uniformly new interiors should weigh the guest caveats alongside the room photographs.
