Centre Point Plus Hotel Silom

Compare Centre Point Plus Silom’s 45-square-metre rooms and 90-square-metre suites, with current guest accounts of kitchens, views and housekeeping.

EDITORIAL REVIEW · 648 words · 4 min read · Editorial date 7 August 2024

Centre Point Plus Hotel Silom is a Bang Rak hotel for travellers who want a larger room and some apartment-style facilities alongside the Saphan Taksin transport area. The kitchen and dining space give it a different emphasis from a conventional compact bedroom. Its room range also separates a city-view Deluxe from river-oriented and larger family choices, so the standard category should not inherit every feature shown for a suite.

The Deluxe is substantial, but still one room

The official Deluxe Room is 45 square metres, with a queen bed or twin arrangement on request and a bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. That is useful space for a couple or friends staying several nights. It remains a single-room layout: the floor area alone does not provide the separation of a bedroom and living room.

The same page lists a microwave, refrigerator and toaster. The property overview describes kitchens and dining areas across the accommodation range. These make simple in-room meals a relevant reason to compare Centre Point with another hotel, but the actual utensils and supplies should be established for the category booked. A kitchen photograph is not a promise of a fully stocked pantry or daily washing-up supplies.

Inside this review

A suite creates a different daily routine

The dedicated One Bedroom Grand Suite page specifies 90 square metres with one bedroom, a living room and a bathroom. That can matter when one person wants to sleep while another sits or works, rather than simply providing more empty floor space. The official room page should take precedence over treating the word suite as a decorative upgrade.

There are also Deluxe River, One Bedroom River Haven, Family River View and Family Suite categories. The Family Suite description identifies a king bed and two singles, while Family River View describes two king beds. Those are distinct sleeping arrangements. A family should compare the actual beds and permitted occupancy, rather than assume that every family-branded offer provides the same layout or outlook.

Guest praise for space comes with a housekeeping caveat

A Tripadvisor guest describing July 2026 stays liked a high-floor suite, the view, pool and local transport. The guest also reported a kitchen in the standard room used for a separate final night. This supports the practical in-room emphasis, while keeping the high-floor panorama tied to the suite rather than promising it for every bedroom.

Edwardyang83’s October 2026 review similarly praised the room size, helpful staff and location, but felt that cleaning had been insufficiently thorough. This keeps housekeeping as a specific caveat alongside the positive reports about space. It is not a finding that every room is poorly cleaned, but it is a reason to assess the room’s condition as well as its generous floor area.

The pool is a hotel facility rather than a river beach

Centre Point lists an outdoor saltwater pool and sundeck on the L floor, alongside fitness and sauna facilities. A pool break can therefore be part of a stay focused on city outings. The presence of a river-view room does not mean that the hotel is a riverside swimming destination, and no particular pool seat or uninterrupted quiet is implied.

The official site also lists designated accessible rooms. Guests who need an adapted bathroom or a particular step-free route should book the appropriate room, rather than infer its fittings from the standard Deluxe photographs. A large room and an accessible room solve different requirements.

A useful Bang Rak connection for independent days out

The hotel’s official address is on Charoen Krung 50, near Saphan Taksin BTS and the river. Guest accounts value the combination of rail, pier and surrounding food outlets. This provides options for travelling towards Chinatown and the old city, while keeping the bedroom in Bang Rak rather than beside a temple entrance.

Centre Point is a strong shortlist choice for guests who will use the extra room, dining space or kitchen during a multi-night visit. The city-versus-river distinction and family bedding deserve an explicit decision. Guests wanting a small hotel with every service immediately outside the bedroom may find this larger accommodation style less relevant, and recent housekeeping feedback should remain part of the comparison.
