Casa Nithra Bangkok offers Thai-influenced rooms and a rooftop pool on Samsen Road.

EDITORIAL REVIEW · 645 words · 4 min read · Editorial date 27 May 2026

Casa Nithra Bangkok offers Thai-influenced rooms and a rooftop pool on Samsen Road. It is a north-old-town hotel for travellers who like the idea of a small pool retreat between outings. Recent construction reports are an important part of the comparison: the surroundings and pool experience may matter as much as the room’s decorative style.

Superior, Deluxe and Suite have real space differences

Current room listings offer Superior and Deluxe accommodation with either double or twin beds, as well as a suite. The accommodation specialist Fleewinter describes Superior at 24 square metres, Deluxe at 28 and Suites at 36. Expedia independently lists the Superior Double at 24 square metres with a king bed. These details give a more concrete starting point than assuming every room is equally spacious.

Fleewinter describes the Deluxe with a bathtub and the Suite with a lounging area and daybed. Booking.com’s current table lists a king bed for the Suite and two single beds for the Twin categories. A couple who will spend time in the room can therefore investigate the larger bathroom or lounging space, while friends should make sure a Twin is the actual selected category. A suite name should not be interpreted as a separate second bedroom.

Inside this review

Pool breaks need current surroundings as well as photographs

The hotel is listed with a rooftop swimming pool, a useful facility for a pause after exploring. A September 2026 Superior Double guest praised that pool but also reported work in front of and inside the hotel, with some disturbance. Another September account specifically warned that external construction could affect a quiet afternoon by the pool even when the closed room windows limited the impact indoors.

These are reports about particular stays and do not establish that work will continue for every future booking. They do make an important distinction: a room can remain usable while the experience of sitting outside changes. If a long poolside afternoon is the main reason for choosing Casa Nithra, current information about the immediately surrounding work is more valuable than a generic promise that the hotel is peaceful.

Welcoming service appears in detailed guest accounts

A Superior Double guest in November 2025 described a warm welcome and found the room, bathroom and towels clean. They reported no construction noise inside their room and no difficulty arranging a car pickup despite work outside. Early room access in that account was a courtesy on that visit, not a guaranteed booking benefit.

A February 2026 Suite family guest also praised energetic, friendly staff and cleanliness while finding the location less convenient for their purposes. Another February couple in a Superior Double appreciated attentive service but found the pool dirty when they used it. Those experiences show why staff, room comfort, pool condition and location deserve separate consideration rather than being collapsed into a single verdict.

Samsen Road is its own location choice

The verified address is 176 Samsen Road in Ban Phan Thom. The hotel is in the northern old-town area, rather than directly at the palace temple entrance or a major rail station. Wat Benchamabophit is a separate northward outing; Wat Saket and Wat Ratchanatdaram lie in the eastern temple circuit. The palace, Wat Pho and the Wat Arun crossing should each be planned with actual entrances and transport in mind.

The recent September guest found a nearby pier useful. That adds an option for exploring but does not make the hotel a waterfront property or guarantee every boat serves the intended temple stop. Distinguish the appeal of returning to a rooftop pool from the separate business of getting around the historic city.

Casa Nithra is most persuasive for a traveller who appreciates Thai-style interiors, a modest pool hotel and a choice of room sizes. A visitor who needs a silent outdoor retreat should clarify the current work situation first. Compare the Superior, Deluxe and Suite by bed and bathroom requirements, then decide how much time you will actually spend at the pool. That puts the stay’s useful features and its most material uncertainty in the same decision.
