Inside this review
Compare the specific room rather than the hotel gallery
The official Standard room is 28 square metres with a king or two twin beds. Superior is listed at 30 square metres, while Deluxe and Deluxe Poolside are 34 square metres. This gives couples and friends several practical comparisons without assuming that every bedroom is a poolside room or has the larger Deluxe layout.
The Deluxe description includes a sitting area and a bathroom with a separate bath and shower. That can be more useful than paying for a category name alone if time in the room matters. Standard-room guests should use their own room description for bathroom details instead of importing all Deluxe features from a photograph or a general amenities list.
Family choices change the beds
The official family range distinguishes a queen bed with a bunk-bed set from a category with two queen beds. Both are described for two adults and two children. A family’s preference between shared large beds and bunks is therefore a real part of choosing the room, and should not be left to a generic request for a family room.
Bossotel also lists a 48-square-metre suite with a separate living area. That is a different benefit from adding beds to a bedroom. Its older website language about included minibar items should not be assumed to form part of a current offer without confirmation; the supported layout distinction is enough to explain why a guest might compare the suite.
A current pool notice takes priority over permanent descriptions
The official site describes an outdoor swimming pool, while Booking.com’s current fine print labels the temporarily closed pool as indoor. Despite that difference in wording, the dated closure notice is clear: 14–30 October 2026. Do not plan on an available swim during that period or assume automatic reopening the following day.
That matters especially when comparing a Deluxe Poolside room. The room’s position and the operational status of the pool are separate questions. A traveller booking mainly for a swim should establish that the facility will be operating for the actual stay; someone mainly wanting a convenient private room may evaluate the interruption differently.
Guest accounts describe comfort in an older property
Elly E’s Tripadvisor review, published in July about a March 2026 stay, describes a large, quiet room and enjoyable on-site spa treatments. The same account says the rooms and common areas showed their age and notes that the room became warm when electricity switched off during absences. This is a balanced report of one couple’s stay, rather than proof that all rooms share identical conditions.
A December 2025 guest, Sarina T, was happier with the room’s finish, cleanliness, large bed and staff. She described the pool as small and shallow even when operating. The two accounts make a useful distinction: a comfortable room and friendly service can coexist with an older building, and an operating small pool is still different from a large resort swimming area.
Use the transport setting without assuming a temple doorstep
The address is on Charoen Krung Soi 42/1, in Bang Rak. The official property description identifies the BTS and central river-pier area as the relevant transport connections. This suits independent journeys towards Chinatown and Rattanakosin while leaving the hotel in a different neighbourhood. A temple visit still requires selecting the appropriate public route or transfer.
Bossotel fits guests who want clear room choices and this river-and-rail area without making the hotel itself the main attraction. A family should settle the beds, a couple should compare the bath and sitting space, and anyone prioritising swimming should resolve the closure notice first. Those concrete decisions are more useful here than expecting every part of the property to offer a newly built luxury finish.
